LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WEEKEND

I’m going to Victoria for the weekend to see my family.  John will be staying here for his big basketball game tournament.  Check out his blog the latest on the Rosa Parks Packers game and the tournament outcome.  They’ve got a great team.
I’m torn because I don’t want to miss his games, but I really want to see my mom and grandma.  Homesickness is a strong force. Going to Victoria by myself means I have to face Houston traffic on my own.  John and I will also be apart for a whole weekend.  I know,  I know that doesn’t sound like a long time, but it is the longest we’ve ever been apart.

Wednesdays blah's

It’s Wednesday already!  Yeah!  Last week seemed to drag on for a long time, but this week seems to be going by faster.  We had our session of financial peace university tonight at church.
School is dragging on, getting closer to the dreaded test.  I wish they would just let teachers teach instead of getting their kids to pass a standardized test.  I’m so stressed out by it all that it almost makes me want to quit teaching all together.

Trip to Sugar land memorial park

We decided to take a trip to the park today and enjoy the gorgeous day that God provided.  John found six geocaches, selah went for a swim, and I took pictures along the way.  Here are a few photos from our adventure.

24 Hours and financial peace

We’ve borrowed DVD seasons of the series “24” and we are hooked to it!  We watch 2 or 3 episodes a night.  Well when I say we, I mean I watch 2 to 3 episodes, and John he watches 5 of 6 episodes staying up way too late.  We’ve already seen season 1 and 2, which are great by the way, and now we are watching season 3.
In other news we just started going to Financial Peace University at our church.  Started the first lesson on super saving.  Wow, we have some work to do to become debt free.

fun in the photo booth

I’m learning new things everyday as I work on my Mac.  Last night I figured out how fun it is to play with the Photo Booth application.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I think I live for the weekends...is that bad?

Things I’m excited about this weekend:
  • Dinner with friends Abby and Will on Friday night
  • Science kit training Saturday morning from 8:30 to 11:30.
  • Seeing John’s parents on Saturday evening to help them purchase their new computer.
  • Visiting a new Sunday school class.
  • Watching the commercials during the super bowl.
