Today's happenings worth remembering.

Little did we know that today would turn into a day to chill at the house. We had intentions of going places but staying at home just seemed to happen today.

By the time we did leave the house around 6 this evening it was just to get Cullen's haircut and then to go get some dinner. Well poor Cullen didn't want his haircut and he cried through the entire haircut. He's had his fair share of haircuts so he knows the routine, but he was mad today and made sure we knew it. Needless to say we left the hair stylist a good tip.

Then we attempted to go to chuckee cheese for dinner only to discover that the rest of the town was also there. When we finally found a parking space, parked and were getting out of our car, we were yelled at by a man who claimed he had been waiting for that spot. We apologized and got back in our car to find another spot but never found one so we went some place else. Awkward much! I hate confrontation, so leaving seemed like a better option than risk running into the crazy man inside the restaurant.

Ended up going to sugar land town square and ate at shogi express and had swirl afterwards. (frozen yogurt and stir fry).

Well after dinner we noticed Cullen wasn't being himself and was tugging on his ears. Uh oh. Ear infection. We took him to the nearest urgent care clinic and then went to get the prescriptions filled only to finally return home around 10:30.

Long evening. Seems like the meds are working and he's feeling good. For now.

At dinner. Playing with noodles

At the clinic trying to find a comfy position on mommy.

Playing in our room at 11:00 once the medicine had kicked in and we were feeling better.

Vocabulary parade and Kids R Kids fall festival.

Halloweens coming so that means lots of different festivities. At my school we had a vocabulary parade where the students can come dressed up as long as they include a poster board with a vocabulary word they are dressed as. They can get quite creative. As the science lab teacher, I enjoyed seeing so many awesome science words.

Here is a picture of my team of teachers.

After school we went home and changed into our Rubble family costumes and headed to Cullen's daycare. They had food and games and a petting zoo!

We ate popcorn, pears, and pizza and we rode on a pony! The Portier's had lots of fun. (you catch all the P's) Here are few pictures from the night.

Our costumes. I think we were the only adults dressed up. Oh well maybe they will use our picture for a flyer or something.

Cullen's friend Noah and his mom.

Eating pizza!

Hugging a friend from class. We think her name is Nyah, but we aren't completely sure. Doesn't he look so big?

Being forced to ride the pony. He didn't seem to happy about his pony ride.

Going through a "maze" with a flashlight.

Treasure your health! Argh!

It's red ribbon week at school which means a whole week of spirit days. Our school did a pirate theme this year where each day focused on a different aspect of pirates. We had beards and bandanas, patches and parrots, captains hats and crossbones, and tattoos and treasure.

So creative and fun! The students had so many cute ideas, loved them all!

Personal day!

We took a personal day today! This is the first one we've taken in a while. Cullen was still with grandma so John and I got a day to ourselves. We went out to lunch and had convey sushi, which was do neat because they actually had sushi going around the conveyer belt.

After that we ventured over to sprinkles and had a cupcake. I think we are pretty predictable when it comes to our dates. Sushi and cupcakes, that's kinda our thing.

By the time we finished it was already time to go meet my grandparents in Wharton to pick up our little man at the whataburger.

Go John go!

Got up extra early this morning to go see John run his half marathon. I'm not a morning person so this was an accomplishment in itself.

We road with our friends the dyllas and I watched parts of the race with David and Abigail while John and Ellen ran.
