We had a great blog set up with our Mac that had pictures and all sorts of bells and whistles, and then the software was updated, and suddenly all my files have problems. Sigh. No fun. I was a dedicated blogger there, and I do not want to lose my entries, so I won’t just delete my old blog and start from scratch. Not until I’ve somehow saved those old entries. It’s almost like losing a photograph. No it won’t matter really that much in the long run if you lose a photo. But if I don’t have the photo, then I am probably not going to remember the memory that went along with that photo. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words right? And my entries were almost like pictures, they were little snippets of what was going on in our life at the time. I need to go in and cut and paste all my journal entries, and save them somewhere, and then start over.
I figure Blogger has been around a while, and at least until I get my Mac blog fixed, I can blog on this and it won’t get lost.
Well in our life this week we worked and made our impact on our children at school. I’ve since taken the effort of copying my seating charts, and am going to take them home so that I can pray for my students, and also learn their names. I have a lot of really challenging names for my limited vocabulary. Lots of vowels in my students’ names is all I can say about that. God has really burdened me though for my students, so I figure this is a start, and then He can direct me.
John is running a half marathon on Sunday. Half nothing, its still a huge race! I can't run 13 miles. For me 13 minutes of running is good. I'm working on my endurance though, and ideally I'd like to get to 30 or 45 minutes or something reasonable. I'm not crazy though, 3 hours of running is way too long. I am sad that the weather is supposed to be miserable, and that means I can't take Cullen and go cheer for daddy. I guess I'll have to sleep in my warm cozy bed. But I do want to be a supportive wife, so I’ll mention him in a few facebook updates that day and maybe even send a Tweet if I can remember how.
Well, I did it. There you have it, my first lame attempt at a blog post. It’s nothing big and exciting, but better than nothing.
I enjoyed reading your blog!! :o)
